Meet Larry Foss

Founder | Cycling Coach | Performance Specialist

What started as a mountain bike ride into the woods in the late ’80s quickly turned into a lifelong passion. After jumping into a local MTB race the very next day, Larry was hooked—and his journey into coaching and performance began.

Driven by a deep curiosity about human performance, Larry became both a sport massage therapist and a USA Cycling Certified Coach in the early 90’s, eventually working with the U.S. Olympic Cycling Team just one day after graduating massage school. Over the years, he’s traveled the world with professional teams and the national squad, supporting athletes at multiple Olympics, World Cups, and World Championships.

But Larry’s coaching goes far beyond results. His training philosophy is built on a expertise crafted from years of experience and continuous education and time-tested training methods. Larry’s real gift lies in combining deep data knowledge (yes, he’s the numbers guy) with the ability to truly connect with athletes. He helps riders make sense of their training, understand the “why” behind the work, and show up for their goals feeling ready, confident, and supported.

Larry founded The Fix in the early 2000s as a one-man coaching space, and later partnered with Sophie to build something bigger—something built around the needs of everyday athletes. Today, he coaches cyclists of all levels through smart, science-backed training plans that meet you where you’re at, whether you're training for an epic gravel race or chasing podiums.

No fluff. No gimmicks. Just real coaching, real connection, and a deep belief that with the right tools, anyone can feel strong, capable, and ready to ride.

Meet Sophie St-Jacques

Cycling Coach | Movement Specialist | Adventure Seeker

Originally from Montreal, my love for croissants and maple syrup runs deep—but cycling has always been the heartbeat. That passion started in the late ‘80s, watching the Tour de France, and it’s taken me across North America and Europe—from starting to race as a young kid to chasing races such as the Giro d’Italia.

Cycling opened doors, but it also lit a deeper fire: the pursuit of human performance. My path led me to a bachelor in Exercise Science to then become a Certified Athletic Therapist, Reconditioning Specialist, USA Cycling Certified Coach, a Strength and Conditioning Certified Coach, as well as a Sport Massage Therapist, to than working with pro cycling teams and the Canadian national squads at World Championships and international Games. But what drives me most now is something bigger: helping everyday athletes feel strong, capable, and ready for whatever adventure they’re chasing—on or off the bike.

Today, I coach cyclists of all levels through 1:1 personalized coaching, custom coaching plans, and strength and mobility programs grounded in applied neurology and reconditioning principles. My mission is simple: help people ride pain-free, train smarter, and build durability for the long haul.

I love helping women feel stronger and more confident in the bike—but I work with all cyclists who are driven to ride better, move better, and feel more capable on and off the bike.

Let’s build strength and fitness that lasts—and go chase what lights you up.

Be Adventure Ready!

Meet Katie Otte

Strength & Cycling Coach | Movement Specialist

Most people know me as Otte. I’m a strength and cycling coach with a background in Exercise Sport Science from St. Catherine University—and someone who really believes movement can (and should) be a tool for a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I studied Exercise Sport Science at St. Kate’s, where I first started to understand the “why” behind training. But the spark really came after a personal injury in high school—a torn rotator cuff from overuse in fast pitch and tennis, with zero strength training to support all that movement. The advice I got back then? “Stop playing.” That never sat right with me. I wanted to move better, not move less.

That mindset is what eventually brought me to The Fix Studio in 2016 for a fieldwork placement. Inspired by my brother who raced with the U of M Cycling Team, and cycling felt like more of a curiosity than a path. But Sophie and Larry nudged me into the Fix Urban Training Camp—and that experience changed everything. Larry’s reaction when I first clipped in? “Holy shit, you look like a real cyclist.”

Graduation gift: a road bike. And just like that, I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve leaned all the way into coaching, education, and getting people moving with purpose. I’m a USA Cycling Certified Coach, Functional Movement Specialist, and certified in Agatsu Kettlebell Foundations—plus always learning, always refining. I’m proud to be part of The Fix’s approach: not just telling people to stop when things hurt, but helping them find smart, practical ways to keep doing what they love.

At The Fix, we want to help you be adventure ready—on and off the bike and we won’t tell you to stop!

Ready to get started?

“Excellent coaching that is tailored to me and flexible with my schedule. The goals I have set for myself have been met and exceeded as a result of the work we have done together. Highly recommend!”
